Are you passionate about supporting students and strengthening community across Washington State? HEARO (Health Educators and Advocates Reaching Out) is now recruiting mentors for its 2025–2026 cycle!
HEARO works to bridge the resource gap between community and technical colleges and four-year universities. Through its statewide mentorship program, students from diverse academic backgrounds are paired with mentors—including career professionals, graduate students, and upper-level undergraduates—who help guide their academic and professional growth.
Mentor responsibilities include:
- Meeting one-on-one with your mentee and offering encouragement
- Helping locate academic and professional resources (with support from HEARO’s resource bank)
- Staying connected with your mentee throughout the academic year
Why become a mentor?
- Opportunity to receive letters of recommendation
- Networking with peers and professionals across Washington
- Advanced mentorship and leadership training
- Being part of a statewide community of changemakers
Apply by November 20 to maximize your time with your mentee. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis after that date.
