Clinical placements

Clinical placements are an essential part of your nursing education, providing diverse learning experiences across hospitals, outpatient and inpatient settings, mental health, public health, community agencies, and schools. These opportunities prepare you to care for patients across the lifespan and with varied health needs, meeting state board and program requirements.

All students are placed by their program faculty and the Office of Clinical Placements. Placements are made solely at the discretion of the School of Nursing. Students are only eligible to be in clinical sites if all compliance and onboarding requirements have been satisfied.

Students should review the Clinical Policies and Procedures for more information. Clinical placement preference may only be considered if you have a University-approved clinical accommodation.
