Diversity, equity and inclusion
The UW School of Nursing is committed to fostering a climate that is inclusive and welcoming of all groups. We recognize that this is a multi-dimensional effort and that nursing education and practice in the United States occurs within the social, cultural, and historical context of institutionalized racism (among other forms of oppression).
We are committed to eliminating all forms of oppression resulting from socially and culturally constructed differences in race/ethnicity, sex/gender identity or orientation, socioeconomic status, language, age, physical characteristics, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, country of origin, citizenship, religious or political beliefs, military status, and others.
