The Graduate and Professional Student Senate provides a variety of funding opportunities for graduate students’ experiences outside of the classroom. Funding for the Graduate and Professional Student Senate comes from the Services and Activities Fee (SAF). SoN Student Conference Travel Award

A reminder that the University of Washington School of Nursing (SoN) Student Conference Travel Award provides financial support to nursing students to present their research or other original scholarly work at regional and national conferences, meetings, and workshops. This award is supplemental to other sources of funding whenever possible. Students are expected to seek additional travel funds from their departments, advisers, or other external sources. Health for Every Husky – Student Health Fee Survey

ASUW and GPSS are exploring the creation of a Student Health Fee to support, sustain, and improve health and well-being services at the University of Washington – Seattle. Research Practicum Opportunity (Winter/Spring 2026)

We are launching a study focused on capturing breathing and cough sounds from residents in assisted living communities to support the development of digital health tools for early detection of respiratory illness. Practicum students will assist with on-site data collection, participant engagement, and protocol implementation, gaining hands-on experience with real-world digital biomarkers and aging-focused research.
