Teaching Assistant Position (50% FTE) Winter 2026 – NSG 520: Pharmacotherapeutics for Advanced Nursing Practice

                                                                                                              

The School of Nursing seeks a Teaching Assistant to support NSG 520: Pharmacotherapeutics for Advanced Nursing Practice, a required course for all Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. The course emphasizes pharmacologic principles, therapeutic decision-making, and safe prescribing for advanced practice nurses across specialties. The TA will collaborate with Dr. Alisha Bhimani to facilitate both in-person and online learning, provide student support, and help coordinate course logistics. This position offers mentoring in evidence-based pharmacology instruction, inclusive teaching, and advanced practice education.
NSG 520 meets on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. with online, asynchronous classes on Wednesdays. The TA for the course will work with DNP students from various specialties, including PMHNP, PNP-AC/PC, CNM, FNP, AGPCNP, and AGACNP.
