The UW School of Social Work would like to share an opportunity that may be of interest to nursing students this spring.
They are offering a Spring elective, Creating a Living, Breathing, and Embodied Anti-Racist Culture through Culture Building, focused on embodied anti-racist practices and culture building. The experience draws from My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem and invites participants to explore how racialized trauma lives in the body, alongside practices that support awareness, healing, and anti-racist action.
This experience has been offered previously and currently has space available. Nursing students who are interested are encouraged to complete the interest form below. The course team will follow up directly with students who submit the form.
