2027 NextGen Summer Policy Academy
Applications are open for the 2027 NextGen Summer Policy Academy, a fully funded, three-week professional development experience for undergraduate students interested in public service careers.
UW students made up 18% of last year’s SPA cohort. Help us surpass that milestone by sharing this opportunity with eligible students and encouraging them to apply.
Program details
- Program dates: June 14 – July 3, 2027
- Funding: Students receive a $1,000 stipend, with travel, lodging and meals covered.
- Program format: One week in Washington, D.C., followed by two weeks of residential study at a host campus.
- Host campuses: UW’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, the University of Minnesota and/or UC Berkeley
Eligibility
Applicants must be undergraduate students who will be seniors during the 2027-28 academic year, are on track to graduate between fall 2027 and spring 2028, and have a demonstrated interest in public service careers.
