Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital is offering a Nurse Residency Program for registered nurse graduates beginning their professional nursing careers. The program provides structured training, mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience to support the transition into practice.
Program start date
The Nurse Residency Program begins Monday, August 17, 2026.
Application and interview timeline
- Candidate interviews will take place April 6 through April 30, 2026.
- All application materials must be received by Human Resources as soon as possible.
Application requirements
Applicants must complete the following materials, which are available online:
- An application for employment with Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital
- References:
- New graduates must submit three references, including one instructor reference, one RN preceptor reference, and one additional reference
- Experienced nurses must submit two references, including one professional reference and one peer reference
- A candidate work preference selection form for interviews
All references must be completed and submitted directly by the evaluators.
Licensure and employment expectations
Selected candidates must have successfully completed the RN NCLEX exam and hold active licensure prior to the August 17, 2026 start date. Participants are hired into permanent RN positions and are expected to complete 36 – 40 hours of orientation or work per week. A minimum one-year employment commitment is required in the department where the nurse is hired.
