- NURS 499 is a one-quarter elective designed for second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students.
- The course combines on-site visits to skilled nursing facilities with a specialized curriculum focused on long-term care competencies and skills.
- Offered Fall 2026 for a limited number of University of Washington second-year BSN students at the Seattle campus.
Course requirements
- Two required on-site visits to long-term care facilities.
- Asynchronous online modules.
- Weekly seminar via Zoom (Week 1 and Week 11 seminars are required; attendance during other weeks is optional).
