LGBTQ+ Community Care Space

In light of recent events impacting our campus community, we recognize that many members of our LGBTQ+ community may be carrying grief, uncertainty, stress, or a need for connection and support.

To help create space for community care and reflection, we invite LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff within the School of Nursing to join us for an informal gathering centered on connection, support, and belonging.

Whether you would like to talk, listen, process, sit quietly, or simply be in community with others, you are welcome here.

LGBTQ+ Community Care Space
Wednesday, May 20, 2026
3–4 p.m.
Health Sciences Building Room T661 – UW School of Nursing

Snacks and supportive community will be provided.
Drop in anytime during the hour — no pressure to speak.

This gathering is supported by the Nurse Midwifery Track, the Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing Department, and the School of Nursing Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.

We hope this space can serve as a reminder that community care matters, especially during difficult moments, and that no one needs to carry those moments alone.
