Presenting your work at a conference is a milestone, and we want more UW School of Nursing students to get there. The Student Conference Travel Award now offers up to $2,000 per student.
What the award covers
- Airfare, or train, bus, or mileage in lieu of airfare
- Lodging
- Conference registration
- Eligible travel must support presenting original scholarly work at regional or national conferences, meetings, or workshops
What the award does not cover
- Rental cars
- Meals
- Other non-approved expenses
Awards are supplemental, so students should seek other funding first. Because funds are limited, some awards may be less than $2,000.
Who can apply
- Any UW School of Nursing student in good academic standing
- Students with an accepted presentation
- Students enrolled in nursing courses during the quarter of the conference
Funding priority is given to oral presentations, followed by posters and panels.
How to apply
Applications are reviewed monthly. Submit by the first of the month for a response around the tenth. Retroactive applications are accepted for conferences within the past six months and the current fiscal year.
