The NPGH LEADERs Fellowship program is now accepting applications from eligible U.S. pre- and postdocs, and LMIC postdocs interested in conducting 12 months of research at affiliated sites in low- and middle-income countries. The fellowship will run from July 1, 2027, to June 20, 2028. The application deadline is September 15, 2026.
Trainees receive a stipend, research funds, travel support, and guidance from a team of mentors. Research opportunities are available in a variety of disciplines, including HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, cancer, neurology and nervous system disorders, cardiovascular and blood diseases, digestive and kidney diseases, diabetes, maternal and child health, mental health, and more.
