The Open Scholarship Commons (OSC) is an interdisciplinary set of spaces and services in Suzzallo Library intended to advance open, public, and emerging forms of scholarship. It provides opportunities for scholars, creators, and learners from diverse backgrounds to learn from each other and build the skills needed to co-create, share, translate, and make the impact of their research visible to the world.
This summer, the OSC will offer events and services for UW staff, faculty, and graduate students:
- Thursdays at 10 a.m. all summer: Recording Studio Specialist Sissi Zhao will host office hours focused on the Recording Studio and media making.
- July 23 at 1 p.m.: Recording Studio/Recording Kit Open House in the OSC. Learn how to use the Recording Studio and set up the equipment in the Recording Kits. This event is part of the UW Libraries Greatest Hits summer series.
- July 24 at 1 p.m.: Online Introduction to Podcast Mixing workshop. In one hour, participants will download Audacity and learn how to mix two tracks.
