The Jonas Scholars Program aims to improve health care by expanding the pool of nurses prepared to educate the next generation of nurse leaders. The program supports scholars through financial assistance, leadership-focused learning opportunities, and a national network that strengthens the pipeline of nurse educators.
How to apply: Submit your application using the Jonas Scholars Program application form. Applications must be received by June 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States or its territories at the time of scholarship award
- Demonstrates a commitment to a career as nursing faculty
- Enrolled full-time with an anticipated graduation date between May 2028 and December 2028 (24–30 months remaining)
- Identifies as an early- to mid-career nurse
- Engaged in research or clinical work aligned with priority topics (see AACN Jonas Nursing program priorities)
