  • Clinical Partnership: Collaborate closely with vascular access nurses to respond to events in a timely manner.
  • Data Collection and Measurement: Use two specialized, non-invasive measurement tools, the fibrometer and hydrometer, to obtain precise physiological measurements of the affected site.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment as a graduate nursing student.
  • High attention to detail and strong adherence to research ethics and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to compassionately communicate with patients and families during stressful moments.

Benefits and Highlights

  • Hands-On Experience: Gain direct exposure to clinical nursing research, patient consenting processes, and bedside data collection.
  • Professional Mentorship: Work alongside experienced vascular access nurses and clinical researchers.
  • Comprehensive Training: Receive full, hands-on training for the fibrometer, hydrometer, and consenting protocols before beginning data collection.
