Teaching Assistant Position (50%) Autumn 2026, Winter 2027, Spring 2027 – NURS 401/40

A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Child, Family and Population Health Nursing to provide instructional support for NURS 401/405 for the 2026-27 academic year.

The two-quarter sequence of NURS 401 and NURS 405 examines pathophysiological responses to illness. The courses introduce major concepts relevant to the experience of acute and chronic illness, including physiological, pathophysiological, behavioral and experiential human responses; assessment of functional health status; and interdisciplinary therapeutics for common alterations across the lifespan.

The TA will assist Drs. Mihkai Wickline and Joshua Carter in coordinating and supporting these didactic courses. Active participation, attendance and assistance at all scheduled class meetings are expected.

During autumn quarter, the course meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 – 11:20 a.m. in SOCC 301.

The appointment runs from Sept. 16, 2026, to June 15, 2027. Exact days and hours of employment will be arranged between the TA and course faculty each quarter.
