Teaching Assistant Position (50%) Autumn 2026, Winter 2027, Spring 2027 – NURS 401/40

A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Child, Family, and Population Health Nursing to provide instructional support for NURS 401/405 for Academic Year 2026-27. The two-quarter sequence of NURS 401 and NURS 405 examines pathophysiological responses to illness. Introduces major concepts relevant to the experience of acute and chronic illness, including physiological, pathophysiological, behavioral and experimental human responses, assessment of functional health status and interdisciplinary therapeutics in common alteration across the lifespan. The TA will assist Drs. Mihkai Wickline and Joshua Carter in coordinating and supporting this didactic course. Active participation, attendance, and assistance at all scheduled class meetings are expected. The course meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 am – 11:20 am in SOCC 301 this Autumn quarter. Appointment duration is from 9/16/2026 – 6/15/2027. Exact days and hours of employment will be arranged between the TA and the course faculty each quarter.
