A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Child, Family and Population Health Nursing to provide instructional support for NURS 420: Community and Public Health Nursing for autumn 2026.
NURS 420 covers community and public health nursing theory with a focus on populations. The course synthesizes theory, practice and research related to community and public health and is informed by a social justice framework, social determinants of health, community partnerships and culturally and linguistically appropriate population-focused care. This course also serves as the theory component for NCLIN 420.
The TA will assist Dr. Kimberly Brinker in coordinating and supporting this didactic course. Active participation, attendance and assistance at all scheduled class meetings are expected.
The course meets on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
The appointment runs from Sept. 15 to Dec. 16, 2026. Exact days and hours of employment will be arranged between the TA and course faculty.
