Kralick Scholarship Supports Medical Education in Alaska

The Kralick Scholarship supports the growth of medical education and research in Alaska for undergraduate and graduate students who intend to practice in the state.

The scholarship is available to students pursuing a range of health and medical degrees, including M.D., BSN, MSN, RN, MCHS, and FNP programs, among others. Scholarship amounts vary based on degree program, institution, and available funds, and awards are applied equally per semester.

Applicants are selected based on academic achievement and a demonstrated desire to practice in Alaska. Scholarship recipients may be eligible for up to three successive annual renewals, provided they remain full-time students and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed in advance of standard academic semesters:

  • Programs beginning in August: applications due by April 15
  • Programs beginning in January: applications due by September 15
  • Programs beginning in May: applications due by January 15

Renewal applications require submission of the most recent transcript but do not require a new essay.

If you work with current or prospective students who plan to practice in Alaska, please consider forwarding the Kralick Scholarship application along with my contact information. We also welcome referrals to other schools or departments within your institution that provide medical or health-related education.
