Student research opportunity: A Doctor of Global Health (DrGH) candidate is seeking a student assistant or collaborator for a scoping review focused on community-based participatory research (CBPR) and perinatal health interventions involving traditional, Indigenous, and community-based midwives worldwide.
About the project: This work supports a broader doctoral focus on strengthening primary health care for perinatal health equity. The scoping review examines how participatory approaches are used to co-design and implement perinatal care models across diverse health system contexts, including the roles of midwives, partnership processes, and contextual factors shaping care delivery.
Student role and scope: Responsibilities may include title and abstract screening, full-text review, and data extraction as a second reviewer, with opportunities to contribute to synthesis and manuscript development. Tasks and level of involvement can be tailored to meet capstone, independent study, or other academic requirements.
Who should consider applying: This opportunity is well suited for students interested in primary health care, community-designed care models, culturally tailored approaches, maternal and perinatal health, Indigenous and community-based knowledge systems, and evidence synthesis.
