Compliance Information for Waitlisted Students
Preparing for Compliance Requirements as a Waitlisted Nursing Student
As nursing students, you are required to comply with the School of Nursing’s Office of Clinical Placements and Compliance Program, UW HSIP Program, and affiliated clinical partner requirements. These include trainings, certifications, vaccinations, and more.
As a waitlisted student, we want to ensure that, if you are offered admission into our nursing program, you are well-prepared to complete the compliance-related requirements promptly upon admission.
Clinical sites typically require students to be fully compliant at least six weeks before the quarter starts. We have observed that some waitlisted students who are later admitted come very close to this deadline. While we understand that you cannot control when or if you are admitted, we expect you to proactively prepare to complete the following compliance requirements to facilitate a smooth admission and clinical onboarding process.
Please review the requirements outlined below:
- School of Nursing Requirements: Follow the attached document to ensure you complete the SON-related requirements correctly.
- UW HSIP/Immunization Requirements: Follow the attached document to ensure you meet the immunization requirements accurately.
Further information on how to document and submit these requirements will be provided to you if you are admitted into the program. In the meantime, we encourage you to create a plan to complete these tasks promptly to avoid delays in your admission or onboarding process.
Please email nscomply@uw.edu should you have any questions.
