Teaching Assistant Position (25% FTE) Autumn 2025 – NURS 417

A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics (BNHI) to provide support for NURS 417: Psychosocial Nursing in Health and Illness in Autumn 2025.  This undergraduate course examines psychosocial disorders/issues of life transitions from integrated perspective of biological, social sciences, nursing, and humanities. Emphasizes utilizing psychosocial nursing and interpersonal therapeutics for assessment, intervention, health promotion with individuals/families/groups at risk for experiencing psychosocial disorders. The course is scheduled for Wednesdays. A doctoral student with a background in educational preparation in the topics of psychosocial nursing and interpersonal therapeutics for assessment, intervention, health promotion with individuals/families/groups at risk for experiencing psychosocial disorders is preferred.  The TA is expected to attend classes and host office hours.

Duration: Autumn Quarter 2025. Dates of employment are September 16, 2025 – December 15, 2025. Exact dates and hours of employment will be arranged between the TA and course faculty each quarter.
