Teaching Assistant Position (25% FTE) Summer 2025 – NURS 417

A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics (BNHI) to provide support for NURS 417 Psychosocial Nursing in Health and Illness in Summer 2025.  This undergraduate course examines psychosocial disorders/issues of life transitions from integrated perspective of biological, social sciences, nursing, and humanities. Emphasizes utilizing psychosocial nursing and interpersonal therapeutics for assessment, intervention, health promotion with individuals/families/groups at risk for experiencing psychosocial disorders. The course is scheduled for Wednesdays.  A doctoral student with a background in educational preparation in the topics of psychosocial nursing and interpersonal therapeutics for assessment, intervention, health promotion with individuals/families/groups at risk for experiencing psychosocial disorders is preferred.  The TA is expected to attend classes and host office hours.

Duration: Summer Quarter 2025. Dates of employment are June 16, 2025 – September 15, 2025. Exact dates and hours of employment will be arranged between the TA and course faculty each quarter.
